William Kei Freire · generalist software developer
Will Freire
Makes games about people who are bad at their jobs.
Will Freire is a generalist software developer, which is the polite term for someone who keeps starting things. He runs Yawn Factory, a small game studio whose first game, Hoseboy, is about a boy, a mountain, and a fire hose long enough to climb it. He also founded Art Allergy, an independent creative house for experimental publishing, games, films, and prints.
Before that he made a hacking game starring a cat, a management game starring a dictator, a god game starring an intern, and a workplace drama starring a fish. He is beginning to notice a theme.
Online he goes by Sano. He has been programming for over a decade and still finds it fun, which his friends consider suspicious.
